Why don't you write a musical comedy and call it DOUBLE SHOT? Set it in PCB either in the Summer of '65(K-Otics discover the song when the Medallions play it at THE OLD HICKORY) or in the Summer of '66 (both groups release a single of the same tune, DOUBLE SHOT) and portray all the K-Otics at THE OLD DUTCH and the Medallions at THE OLD HICKORY with cameos of the Gibraltars and Wilbur.
